I found fly fishing when I was in college, trapped in a concrete city without the ponds and lakes I grew up fishing back home. As luck would have it, I found an incredible river of escape running right through the city, happened upon a famous movie and a fly-rod, and thus began a lifelong pursuit. Right around the same time, I picked up a camera, having always been captivated by photography and the emotions a good photograph could conjure up. The intersection of these two pursuits has become a happy obsession.

I have found an incredible amount of satisfaction pursuing fish on the fly, meeting and hanging out with folks who do the same, and capturing images of the places, people, landscapes and culture composing the sport we love. My photographic interests also include general landscapes, travel and lifestyle. My wife (also a photographer and videographer) and I nearly always have a camera on us, and our two little ones have learned there is no escaping the relentless lens!

Currently I am a co-owner and the photography editor at Strung Sporting Journal. I have been featured in Anglers Journal, The Drake, Eastern Fly Fishing (now American Fly Fishing), The Fly Fish Journal, Gray’s Sporting Journal, Strung Sporting Journal, TROUT magazine, Blue Ridge Outdoors, and Quail Forever and have had work featured in various media for Korker’s Footwear, Duck Camp and Blue Cypress Kennels.
